Twelve Step Recovery (AA & Al-Anon)
Although the Basilica has no direct affiliation with either Alcoholics Anonymous or Al-Anon, we do make meeting space available for their use.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem. It is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help each other to recover from alcoholism.
Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Star of the Sea Room of the Klaus Murphy Center.

Al-Anon
Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who meet anonymously to share their experience, strength and hope to solve their common problems.
Although Al-Anon is a separate entity from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Al-Anon is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions adapted from AA.
Al-Anon has relocated their meetings to Unity of the Keys located at 1011 Virginia Street.
Meetings are scheduled on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and Wednesday mornings from 8:00 to 8:45 am
