The Basilica of Saint Mary Star
of the Sea is endeavoring to
implement a parish-based ministry to
assist pregnant mothers in need. On
the weekend of October 27/28 at
the end of all weekend Masses, Mr.
Fredi D’ Allesio will invite us to
participate in the Gabriel Project
by attending an informational
meeting on November 8 at 7:00p.m.
in the Mary Immaculate Room of the
Klaus Murphy Center to learn about the extraordinary ministry
known nationally as The Gabriel Project.
The Gabriel Project is a marvelous way to show our
community that we Catholics see in the conception of each child
a fresh expression of God’s unfailing love. That we care about
pregnant mothers in need and that there is no reason for any
mother to feel that she is helpless and alone.
During the informational meeting you will learn how you
can participate as an “angel” assigned to help a mom in need and
how our parish community would, through prayer and action,
assure Mom that she has our love and the love of Christ by
providing her with spiritual, emotional and material support to
help meet her needs. For more information contact Patrice
Schwermer at 305-807-4503 or pschwermer@ccadm.org.
